Bold, exciting and fast-paced!
My
work represents the fashion and lifestyle of a large city.
Which
is odd considering I come from a town of roughly 500 people. However, I
have always been fascinated with the allure of large cities, and the
way people in metropolitan areas live, eat and dress. People
aren’t afraid to be different in big cities.
The way of life in a small town is just
different,
the career options are more limited, and therefore the arts are not
necessarily a top priority. Given that I decided to pursue a career in
art anyway, I received my bachelor of fine arts from Pittsburg State
University in 2003. Unlike many artists, I like to mix up the
mediums in which I work. I might work in colored pencil one day and
computer graphics the next. The variety keeps me interested
and
excited. On this site you will find realistic work, abstract
work, and some that is a little bit of both. As far as
materials,
I use pencil, colored pencil, oil pastel, acrylic, ink, sugar, spray
paint, collage, and recently computer graphics.
